Default wtf comsub??? brisbane to formosa?? are you kidding?

Hey all,

Maybe I'm getting itchy on the game, but I'd rather have myself start from pearl all the way to formosa, for the pain of brisbane to formosa.

I'm in a balao class, playing on a 100% difficulty, and shortly after refitting off Tulagi (solomons) I headed north by northwest in between the keys, and through the turn up north through philippines.

Got battered and bulleted many many times by H6k and H8ks....

Hell, as I reached the AO on 45% fuel (dont ask, moving since start at ahead 1/3, but apparently a shell landed at the fuel tanks and spilled some decent amount to seas, effectively lowering my operational range), I get a barrage of airstrikes as I'm pinging and closing in on a large composite fr.

And guess what? I'm submerged for close to two hours, initiated by the radar SD contact, while on cruise, sound picked up the merc.

Apparently I attacked in the wrong time at the wrong conditions. Clouds clear, ppt 0 fog 0, wind 0, mid-day. Yikes!!!!

point is: I humped across 5 + k with topside favourable convoys and tfs, and loners passing by not by missed approach, but reluctance to use torpedo except at AO, which is like a zillion miles away from comfortable refit stations.
