Hi Guys,
Firstly I would like to thank all the Modders whom have provided their work for us all to enjoy. To be honest I was dissapointed at first with my SH5 purchase but now with the mods installed Im really enjoying the game. I am seeking some help with a few little problems that are still anoying me. Firstly I will list my current Mod installation as exported by JSGME please note: I have the Dark Wraiths modified SH5.exe Hydrophone Fix installed. I believe some mod or option In the DWuser options.py may have messed it up. Recognition Manual - I dont get any of the text with the ships pictures except for the ships name. Most important to me is the ships length as I cant use the Ujagd Chrono to estimate speed. I have allso noticed if I use the weapons officer to ID the target sometimes He will identify a ship that is not in the book. I think a comman example [from memory] is " Large Steamer " Has anybody else come accross these problems? I would love to hear any solutions or any comments on my MOD list or MOD installation order. The updated io map mod fixed the bearing wheel problem. Im still looking for a better Rec Manual. As I said before I an trying to get a version where the ship data eg: ship length , top speed ect is vissible. I found a mod for an updated SOAN ill give that a try maybe that will be more to my taste. thanks Stewy

Hi Magic,
I will try to explain what Im on about. Maybe Im too fussy or just wanting something that the sim doesnt support yet. Ive taken some screen shots to help explain how I am trying to configure the Rec Manual. ![]() Above is a pic of the normal rec manual that has the extra text containing ship length so I can use the Ujagd watch for quick speed estimations. ![]() Now here is a pic using the "Enhanced Recognition Manual Night Vision with Black Cover" Mod that I like to use as you can drag the Rec Man to one side and flick through the pages while still seeing the Target through the scope / uzo. This lets me compare the ship siloutes to ID the target. Unfortunatly the pic in the rec manual no longer has any of the Text containing ships data , barring its name. Ive tried using the updated SOAN mod but it makes no diference to the missing data text. Does anyone know if there is any way to use the ERM and still have the data text showing. Do you understand what Im getting at ? I think it would be great if this could be done. There seems to be ample room in the area alloted for the ship silouete picture. Thanks Stewy

Yes, I think I understand what you want: That the Add-On MOD for UI 6.5.1, "ERM_Night Vision" show you the length, speed...from the ships, right ? In this point I can´t help you, sorry ! But you know, that the SOAN, that it is included in UI 6.5.1, show you the information ?! Do you know that ? Best regards, Magic |

Yes DW you are totally correct,
I did not realise There was a seperate SOAN. I thought people were refering to the rec man. How stupid do I feel , obviously I neglected to read some important instructions. Thankyou verry much DarkWraith & Magic for sorting out these problems. Stewy

Unfortunatly I havnt had any luck.
I tried clicking on the charts icon and I can see the 2 table charts and the flag chart but nothing else. The only brown tab I can find is the rec man. Sorry to be such a pest but could somebody please post a screen shot. There is obviously something Im just not getting. Thanks Stewy

I was too quick to see your latest post.
I deleted the file but had not disabled the mods but the SOAN was there. I will disable those mods and try again but I think my problem has been solved. Thanks , ive now got all that info ive been wanting. I will give me a whole new part of the game to explore. Thanks Stewy
