Here's an example: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...6&postcount=11 Have you tried all the usual stuff, such as running in compatibility mode and running as admin? If so, it's probably a driver issue so I'd be inclined to have a look at your graphics card and system specs. ![]() |

My SH3 ran flawlessly straight out of the box on my 64bit win7 system without me doing anything special that I can remember.
Only thing I do differently now to when I had XP is to install all my games to a folder outside of Program Files as I hear it can cause problems isntalling games inside the Program Files folder. Hope you get your problem fixed and are able to play soon! |

Sorry for the late response fm but yes, SF is not compatale with W& you need to remove it before attempting to boot the exe up.
On the other hand it is just as easy to purchase a new SH3 disc that is SF free: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Silent-Hunte.../dp/B000FUCGDY |

One thing odd I noticed about using SH3 on my Win 7 64 bit is that I need to change the screen resolution from 1920x1080 to 1600x900, not sure why this is but when I forget to change it an error comes up saying the graphical engine could not start.

I also had trouble when using SH3 on win7x64. When I got to the menu, it was all black and the mouse left a trace. Removing the intro-movies fixed it and I was able to play.

I re-purchased SHIII from direct2drive for $10, and it came without the starforce DRM crap. It installed out-of-the-box under Windows 7-64 no problems.

I installed as per the sticky just fine. The only difference is I don't use UAC, so I have no issues with anything in Program folders.
I do keep up to date and scan regular with a range of AV products, just to make sure.
