Hi there,
sorry if iīm reporting a known bug, and sorry about my mediocre english. The thing is that iīve just sunk a japanese merchant and it hasnīt been noted in my captainīs log. It was a ryuyu(?) merchant worth 6000 + some tons, so i feel sort of dissapointed. Is it a common issue? The game is awesome, by the way. Playing TMO 2.0 |

Welcome to the boat mate.
![]() Anyone that can come up with "mediocre english" ain't doing all that bad. ![]() About the only time I've noticed not getting credit for a ship sunk is when it's at anchor in a harbor and didn't sink far enough to get credit. One other time is if you have already sunk that particular ship before and hung around the same area and it re-spawned and you sank it again. No credit for the second time. I don't recall ever not getting credit other than these two things. Playing TMO 2.1 You should download the 2.0 to 2.1 patch. Magic

Losing credit for sunk ships happened to me regularly after installing the DC-Water_Disturbance MOD. Does he use that MOD? If so, remove it. I did and the game runs perfectly now.

Your kill will only count if you hears (or read) the message "enemy ship destroyed". It is not enough to look at it and convince yourself that it is doomed. If your ship looks destroyed but has not appeared as such in the log, try torpedoing it again, or if circunstances allow, bombard it with your deck gun.
This happens a lot when you raid a harbor. Sometimes they sink, hit the bottom of the bay, and stay there, half-sunken, and you do not get a message saying "enemy ship destroyed" - though it obviously is. Keep hitting it. |
