Default Enigma help? (unrelated to subs)

Over in WWIIOL, the staff is hinting at something related to the 10th anniversary patch. Its been 2 days and none of us players have made any progress on it! None of us have any experiance with the engima device!
Could someone help with this or hint along how it works? perhaps see what were doing wrong?

This is kinda fun. I used the key "MMR" (Motormouth rocks) to spell out a very important message:

You can see the comments of some of us on the facebook page

However, most of the effort has been done inside a thread that is only accessible to subscribers.
A lot of people are coming up with something saying "Boddington Beer" which makes no sense to us.

Could anyone help show how this is supposed to be done?

I don't know anything about the Enigma thing. But if I were you I'd try over here:

Boddington's is a very good pub ale. Makes perfect sense to me!

the way its been taken so far has been "Boddington was originally brewed at Strangeways Brewery. Colonel David Strangeways was the officer in charge of Operation Fortitude, the pre-D-Day plan to fool the Germans into thinking the Allies were landing at Pas-de-Calais."
Another key lead to the word HYDRARGYRUM
which is similar to mercury, so quicksilver, leading to operation quicksilver.
