Default Hungary has a new Constitution

Hungary has a new constitution. Passed by the Hungarian Parliament and signed by the Hungarian President, this constitution will take effect on January 1st, 2012. The constitution was written and passed by the center-right Fidesz party which currently holds 227 of 385 seats in the Hungarian Parliament giving it a 59% majority. The text of the document is causing the Leftists, Globalists, and EU tyrants to go into fits. The left-wing Hungarian parties even boycotted the vote. Here’s why.
First, the constitution is explicitly Christian. The National Credo which preambles the new constitution is well worth the read in its two page entirety, but here are some of the relevent excerpts:2

We are proud, that our King St. Stephen established the Hungarian state on firm foundations a thousand years ago and our country a part of Christian Europe.

We recognize the role of Christianity in preserving our nationhood.

Second, the constitution is explicitly nationalistic. Again from the National Credo:

We are proud of our forefathers who struggled for survival, freedom, and independence of our country.

We are proud that our people have battled for centuries to protect Europe and have, with their talent and diligence, enriched her common values.

We undertake to preserve and nurture our legacy, the Hungarian culture, our unique language, the man-made and natural treasures of the Carpathian-basin.

We profess that the most important frameworks for our coexistence are the family and the nation

We respect the achievements of our historic constitution and the Holy Crown, which embodies the continuity of the Hungarian constitutional state and the unity of the nation.

Third, the constitution is thoroughly anti-Communist. Again from the National Credo:

We do not acknowledge the suspension of our historic constitution as a result of foreign occupation. We reject the applicability of the statue of limitations to the inhuman crimes committed against the Hungarian nation and its citizens during the reign of the national socialist and communist regimes.
We do not accept the legal continuity of the communist “constitution” of 1949, which served as the basis of a despotic regime; therefore we declare it null and void.
We agree with the members of the first freely elected Parliament, who pronounced in their first resolution that our freedom of today stems from our 1956 revolution.
We consider that the state sovereignty of Hungary lost on March 19, 1944 was regained on May 2, 1990, when the first freely elected representative body of the people was constituted. We count this latter day as the start of the new democracy and constitutional order of our country.
And lastly, the constitution is pro-family, pro-life, and pro-children. Article M of the Basic Stipulations section states, “(1) Hungary protects the institution of marriage between man and woman, a matrimonial relationship voluntarily established, as well as the family as the basis for the survival of the nation. (2) Hungary supports child-bearing.” From the Freedoms and Responsibility section, Article II states, “Human dignity is inviolable. Everyone has the right to life and human dignity; the life of a foetus will be protected from conception.”, Article III states, “(3) Eugenic practices aimed at selection of persons, making the human body and its parts a source of profit and the reproductive cloning of human beings are prohibited.”, and Article XXI states, “(2) It cannot be considered an infringement of equal voting rights if a super majority law provides an additional vote for mothers in families with minor children, or as a provided by law, another person may be entitled to an additional vote.” In short, marriage is between a man and a woman, child bearing is encouraged and those with children may receive extra votes, abortion is murder, and human cloning is prohibited.

A big step in the right direction imho. An important sense of national consciousness as well as a link to their past.

A huge step into the wrong direction IMO.
I was hoping all those Eastern European countries would get more modern after admission into the EU, but here they are getting even more obsolete laws and values

By the letters of the written word in it, it seems they do not want to participate in the modern habit of constantly deconstructing european own idenity and value systems, instead they understand that where they are today is rooting in historic events that have formed this their present identity - and not any randomly chosen other identity.

Only people having no identity and no awareness for their own cultural roots can be careless enough to just give away their heritage in culture and self-definition, and think there are not important differences and that it all means nothing - or they think their own identity and culture is so bad only that is not worth to be maintained and defended (like those anti-Germans that reduce alomst 1000 years of German history and one of the richest cultural contributions to global culture and science and technology to just those 13 dark years of fascist tyranny, and instead of conteplating the whole millenium, they are fixiated on that one and a half decade exclusively and conclude by that that all what is German necessarily must be bad and must be destroyed therefore). That'S why Islam and Turkey are pressing so very strong and determined - because where the EU-doctrine denies any cultural identity of the West worth to be defended and even acts in active deconstruction of local differences and regional cultures, Islam claims that it's identity not only is very strong and enduring, but shall be the only identity for all. This is the reward for its totalitarian uniformity that by the Quran'S ideology itself does not tolerate any differernces and straying-offs from the one and only Muslim identity there can only be, from a Quranic point of view. And that is the Ummah.

I am undecided on what to think about the Hungarian conservatives. Their new laws that they somewhat altered due to EU pressure that were imo clearly censorship of the free press and supression of different than government opinion, to a very tyrannic degree, are still on my mind. On paper, the National Credo sounds well. But the party behind it I just still do not trust.

However, everybody not being Nazi or Islam or anarchist and forming a front against the EU tyranny, is a potential ally for me, so I am willing to give them a chance and see what direction they go.

To hell with the EU. It more and more turns into the worst disaster in Europe since WWII, and it tramples on centuries and centuries of ancestors of ours that worked and fought and suffered to acchieve the basis for our freedoms that now we so carelessly give away - to the EU, and to Islam, and lobbies and party-dicatorships in the countries. The transfer union the Euro has been turned into - is the biggest compulsory mass expropriation in the history of North and Central Europe.

And no, it was not the original EU that has brought freedom to Europe (that was WWII), and it was not the EU that gave peace and stability - that was NATO, and the external threat by the Warsaw Pact. The economical cooperation of some Westeuropean core economies had little or nothing to do with it. Those historians that I occasionally read all shake their head when hearing this opportunistic BS argument of the EU having preserved peace in the cold war. BS.
