OT:realistic pirate movies?

After watching a documentary on real pirates I am flabbergasted that there is not one realistic pirate movie. These people were brutal and nasty pieces of work, I would love to see a good movie that portrays them as they really were instead of the romanticized versions we always get. I don't know of any, do you?
