Stopwatch

Am I the only person whose stopwatch runs at different speed depending on which screen I'm in? Open the nav map, start the stopwatch and it tick, ticks, ticks away in perfect time. Go to The Attack Scope, The Observation Scope, The OZO or even just be in the Bridge and it slows down. A graphics issue? more stuff going on in the screen and the system slows down? I have a Radeon 5450 GPU with a gig of DDR3 video memory so it surely can't be as simple as the graphics card not being up to it??!?!?!?!?!?

Default Clock

Anyone put a real stopwatch on their in-game main clock? Does YOURS run slow? Mine certainly does!! 72 seconds for the game clock to advance 1 minute on any other screen but the Nav Map. An SH5 problem or a hardware problem at my end? I used to do the trusty old 3 minute 15 second plot interval to get a target speed using a real stopwatch when running SH3 or 4 but it gets seriously messed up here trying to use it in SH5. Any Ideas? This machine and the graphics card both have good specs. I might seem to be nit picking here, but surely the bloody clock and stopwatch should be constant no matter what you're doing!!!!!

I've never noticed this.... Haven't checked it with real time to be honest.

But CTRL F8 to display your FPS in game. My first thought would be your getting lag in 3D view?

The stopwatch is linked to your game so if your game runs slow, the watch will do the same.

but wouldn't everything in the game slow down if FPS was bad? In other words, the clock would run slow but so would "real time" in the game, right?

That is, indeed, how it works. It just means if the game runs slowly you can't use a proper stopwatch which is how I used to do it because it was so much easier to do it that way while scribbling on a sheet of paper any calcs that had to be done. Anyway...............after a day experimenting with video card settings I've managed to get FPS rates to a far more tolerable level so the stopwatch/clock business if not so blatantly obvious. Thanks, All, for your input
