I have the following issue which seems to be quite strange... If I am and I move the camera under water and the sea floor is visible, frames drop to around 10 (which is quite annoying). I think that this might be related to the many sunrays under water and maybe the caustics. If the water is more deep (ground not visible) the problem is gone. Is your shadow slider on halfway . Put it on halfway in the graphic options .
Try turning sun rays off in graphic options as a last resort . Do you have any mods that alter the shader files ? |

I think the problem is related to the sea floor... when the floor is not visible, fps is fine. When the floor comes in sight, it starts to get really bad. I have tried to reduce shadows, but that only gives me 2-5 frames back. I have also disabled the "Detailed Caustics Mod", as I suspected it to cause this...
![]() I also have high AA, but its not a problem at all as long as the camera stays over the water. I can't get my head around the question what makes the FPS so much worse under water. It doesn't even look like it!!! Where can I disable sun rays? I'd like to try that. Thank you! It is really frustrating! My computer should be able to handle much more with no problems! Hell, I am running ARMAII with around 40 Frames without any problem! ![]() |
