Default Murdoch and £20 million

How far will it go?
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-13027211
Given that settlements so far have been heading towards the million pounds each mark and there are two dozen more already going through the courts how much of the £20 million will be left for the 3000 other individuals who may want to take News International to the cleaners?

its the new get rich quick scheme. Complain to a court, ask for crazy amounts of money shamelessly and then collect.

the RIAA just asked for more than the GDP of the entire world in a suit. Lucky at least that one was tossed out.

Do you think this media outlet should have been allowed to get away with breaking the law in such a comprehensive and systematic way?

Maybe he civil cases wouldn't have evolved if the police chiefs hadn't decided to get very friendly with Murdoch and had let the Metropolitan police do their job in the first place.

What would be interesting is if someone chose to refuse the out of court settlement and proceeded with a actual hearing, that would really stitch the media up.
