Hi everybody.

Here is my Silent Hunter 4 music fix!

Tested and working on newest Silent Hunter 1.4 version and 1.5 (Add-on)

About the mod:

This mod was made because I found a lot of strange things regarding the music configuration and the music provided in the original game. I found that some of the music found in the music directory is actually never played in the game. Therefore I decided to add some of the missing files to the in-game playlist (configurationfile). However I kept all the fantastic tracks already in the original unmodded Silent Hunter 4 game.

I have tested the different tracks a lot, and I think that some of the tracks didn't sound so good in the game. So I added the songs I liked to the playlist and didn't add the tracks I didn't like. I also got some great information from ATR-42 here at the forum about fade time between tracks. I therefore added his fade settings as well.

If you would like to see which files I didn't add to the playlist, you can open the DATA/SOUND/MUSIC/music.cfg file and scroll down to the bottom.
Underneath "[LEFTOVER TRACKS]" you will see the files not added.

If you like these songs and add them all you have to do is to move them to the desired state. For more information go to this thread: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...240#post535240

This MOD is tested on a clean Silent Hunter 4 game patched to 1.2 and 1.5 version. Works great!

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

Install with JSGME or do it manually by copying the provided files to the right folders.

How to install it manually:
Unpack the RAR file to the root file of your Silenthunter 4 directory and overwrite the existing file

Note:
DON'T FORGET TO BACK UP THE ORIGINAL FILES
