Default Where is all the merchant traffic from other countries??

I've played up until Operation Drumbeat (starting it now) and I have yet to come across a merchant that was NOT British.

In GWX. you had to get close to ID a contact because it could have been from anywhere, and it was actually awesome as this really added to the realism factor. So far in SH5, if I pick up a merchant contact...I know its British.

Is there a mod for this? Or am I just a brit magnet? Or whats the deal?

I have the MO mod.

Thanks

Good observation. I'm now wondering the same thing. I did see a Polish ship once but that was it.

So far only playing in Happy Times I've seen mostly British, several Polish, and actually sunk a French merchant. They're out there.

I'm in the first campaign mission and tonight I saw a German merchant heading west through the English channel. British planes were attacking it. I was running west parallel to it and decided to take a risk and head towards it to use my AA guns to defend against the air attacks but before I could get there the third airplane attacked and scored a direct hit.

I didn't expect to see a German merchant heading through the English channel. Just proves that you need to ID targets before shooting.

Man, I know what you mean. I spent virtual hours last night chasing down merchant cntacts that turned out to be friendly ships, east of Britain. Glad I'm not trigger happy!
