over in the list of activated mods,,some are in dark print and others appear to be greyed out...does it matter?

When you activate a mod you will sometimes get a message that tells you of a possible conflict with one you already have installed. If you install that mod the earlier one will be greyed out. This means two things:
1. There is a possibility that part of the earlier mod will be overwritten and thus not work properly. 2. You cannot remove the earlier mod without first removing the newer one. If you try it will give you a message to that effect. It is up to you to take the time to read that first message and decide whether it's worth it to install the newer mod.
