Default Quick Question. Need fast answer. :)

Ok, so I'm on my second mission of the total germany ....I have to sink 100,000 tons right? So as far as my mission status it says my patrol is complete. So that's good. But I've only sunk around 40,000 tons of ships. I have all 10 of my torps left but I'm running out of deck gun shells and I'm not sure I have enough weapons (total) to get to 100,000 tons.

My mission patrol says 'complete'.......but I'm short of the tonnage requirement. What happens if I return to base under these conditions. Do I get to move on to the 3rd mission or what?

Thanks for the link Sober. I don't think it really answered my question though. Maybe I'm being dense. (sorry)

Is that saying if I haven't completed the tonnage requirement, I can go back to base, reload, and go back out? Assuming the time frame has not been passed? I think that's what your link is saying. It says your tonnage (so far) will still count. But I guess my next question would be is the 'patrol area' still going to be complete as well?

Because that's where I am right now. I have met my 'patrol area' requirement, now I'm just trying to sink 100,000 tons of ships and I'm not sure I'm going to make it in one trip. I don't mind going back to base to reload but I don't want to have to re-do the whole patrol area thing again. Does that make sense? Thanks Sober.

I think you get renown for sinking in a patrol area , whatever that is LOL . You get points for sinking in an objective area . I think that is the way it works , could be wrong .
Lite campaign 1.2 mod reduces the requirement to a more realistic tonnage .

The whole thing is pretty shady.. I don't really get the points/renown thing.

BUT I can answer this, if you return to port, and end your current patrol everything counts. When you start your new patrol, you'll be sent out to a new area, within the area of the 100,000 ton area, 'big red circle on map'.

You'll have all the tonnage you already sank and the bar will be in the same place, basically you just have to head back out and sink more until the bar is full and the mission area is complete.
