it would be like impersonating a police officer; you just can't pretend to be a red cross officer. I know its a technicality, but its the law.

Well in that case you could discard half of all series on TV.

There's a difference between wearing those clothes in front of a limited audience, and wearing those clothes in public. Nobody of the audience is really gonna think it's a real red cross nurse standing on the stage. The image of the red cross as a "special sign of neutrality and protection" has never been at stake.
