Default Torpedo resupply.

Hi everyone,

I know that you can get up to 4 torpedoes from a milk cow (assuming you have arrived at the right time). Did the other supply ships (such as Thalia) ever give out torpedoes as well?

Just curious.

In the game, stopping at any supply ship will give you a full loadout of torpedoes - no way around that AFAIK except to alter what constitutes a full loadout in some cfg file somewhere, which would change what you got even when you ended a patrol in base.

In real life, no supply vessel would've had enough eels stored away to provide for that, so you'd get whatever they could give you. I'd think 4 would be the most you could hope for any time you resupplied at sea.

Do someone remember which cfg file one can modify to have the desired default loadout when resupplying? I used to modify this file, but can't remember which one!

Sorry, I guess I was looking for a "realism" answer as opposed to a information answer.

To rephrase:

I understand that milkcows had ordinance supply such that a u-boat that was refueling, could get as many as 4 torps. That was the total they had, so if you showed up at the right time, you could get a max of four. (I also understand from the forums that xfer of said torps was a real b*tch. )

My question is:

In real life, did these refueling ships, e.g. Thalia, supply torps as well? If so, how many?

Sorry for the confusion.

Also, to do the proper load out, just go out to sea and shoot off what you're not supposed to have. Much easier than doing file mods.
