Default SHIII AF/AA

just wondering whats the max Anti aliasing and anisotropic filtering settings that can be applied to SHIII?

Right now i have both set to X4...this is with a nvidia card using the nvidia control center

just wondering how high i could go before overkill sets in

You must open the NVIDIA Control Panel, to make changes to the graphics card.And how high you can go depends a lot on your card requirements

yep i have gone thru the nvidia control panel, i was just wondering what the top limits of SHIII were

The standard anyway you can have it during the program-controlled, in the case of AA or AF, but as a rule are graphically intensive mods, so is the combination of 4x AA and 4x AF smooth, if you ask me, but how far you can go, and SH3 what is the limit to, I have no answer to..

To my eyes tuning those levels above x4 doesn't make any noticable difference to me apart from a drop in frame rate.

You don't have to exit and reload the game to see the results, you can just alt tab and then change your card settings and then tab back to the game to see how they effect it. Just try it for yourself.

Although I have an ATI card, perhaps it is a slightly different procedure for Nvidia but I shouldn't think so.
