Flak guns

I question regarding the flak guns- I am running the UI u boat 2.2 rather than tdw UI, and wamphyris aircraft mod that gets aircraft to actually attack you, and when an aircraft appears, I order the flak gun manned via the watch officer but he does not fire ever!
I went into the interface, found the gunner and ordered fire at will, or fire at closing targets as in SH3 but still nothing- I just get strafed!

Does anyone else get this or if not how do you get him into action?

just some FYI, aircraft will attack you with IRAI also

(and IRAI is much more difficult)

I once shot down 6 planes as they flew in pairs.

Ok thanks guys but what about the gun operator? Has anyone seen him shoot at an aircraft?

I recommend to try IRAI 0.29! Great mod!

Now in 1943, Biscayan gulf is truly a hell... 1 day after leaving port La Pallice is hull integrity 77 %...

if you trust this dunce to shoot at the planes, you used up all the milk or if it only hurts the plane and all,

believe it is better to do myself.
