The other U-boat commanders are trying to confuse me!

Just got a messege from another U-boat as Im heading out on patrol. The messege is a basic contact report but instead of a grid square I got - 35414 GRT. I have absolutly no idea what this means, or where to look.. can anyone help me out please?

GRT = Gross register tonnage. It means the U-boat sunk a total of 35414 tons of allied shipping. It's one of the immersion messages,so you can ignore it.

Messages that are ship to ship/ship to base signals you can generally ignore if you prefer. Sometimes you'll get reports that are useful of a ship engaging a convoy in a closeby area that you can act on, otherwise the messages are there to simulate the real radio traffic that went on. There's a mod called messages lite that only sends out (actual) important messages and none of the regular chatter that you hear on the radio normally. It drastically cuts down on the number of messages you'll receive per day.
