Default Mod Request

Hi guys,

Is there any mod around that will make the font size bigger in the "message box"?

And a mod that will show the numbers of the bearings, distances, angles and so on, bigger on the map so i can actually see it without hitting monitor with my head, or lowering the resolution.
Also the compas-tools are hard to read.

I look at that monitor on a regular basis, but haven't played SH4 on it.
Pretty sharp image although some rather large pixels... 0.27mm.

Mine is a LG L2000 with pixels 0.25 and the difference is not that big, but it is a bit sharper.

But I can easily see tiny text on both screens in normal sitting conditions, like 50-80 cm away from screen...

Perhaps you can try a monitor running native 1440 or perhaps lower, 1280?
Note, that if you lower resolution on your monitor, the image will be blurred.

Still you should take an eyetest.

it wouldnt work because the text are just image files on a grid and the letters are used / shared with other text boxes for things so it will look ok with one text box but then you will see it doesnt fit right in other text boxes

if i remember correctly, there are three main texts that are used and i had made a mod where i changed the color to make them easier to read but by changing the image file the edges were a little blurry so some people thought it was easier to read before i changed the color

i did an s-boats mod to make the s-boats act more realistic and with it i redid the textures for it that i think look pretty good

i also did a mod to fix the pink waterlines seen on some stock ships

modding isnt hard, it just takes some spare time and you often have to redo things a few times to get it the way you like it. its all about not being afraid to fail and being willing to try learning how things work
