Default Dems find common ground: It's the White House's fault

Recriminations.

“It is clear that Democrats over-interpreted our mandate. Talk of a ‘political realignment’ and a ‘new progressive era’ proved wishful thinking,” the retiring Indiana Sen. Evan Bayh wrote in a New York Times op-ed posted online as the scope of last night’s losses became clear. "

The US is a center-right country. Lead from the center, and you're pretty much unstoppable. Too far in either direction and you're toast.

Idiocy at its best:

"If you look at the stuff that we did, it was on an issue-by-issue level popular – but we have to do something different in the way we talk about the challenges we face and the way we deal with them,” said Rep. Anthony Weiner of New York

*Emphasis added...

The reality is that on an issue by issue basis - the actions of the previous congress and the current administration were NOT popular - there was a public outcry over ALOT of it, yet they continued anyway. If the left and the president want to turn hard left, in 2 years they will hand the Senate and the White House to the Republicans.

I think that's a pretty fair prediction Hap.

There is probably a good number of senators whom see the handwriting on the wall and truely see the need to moderate and want to do so.

Unfortunatly their 'leaders' dont see that.
