i have already mentioned in a earlier post of the impotency of the torpedo hits in this game ,one modder kindly suggested a file for fixing this relateing to this but it never worked unfortunatly,i dont know why, well not for me that is. anyway, further to this. anyone noticed <bet you have> how lethal the freighters are ? the gun crews must be "elite" status....what are the chances if any of being on the surface at full speed at 4000 metres plus and recieveing hits from a merchant ship? small target a sub isnt it? how realistic is that and frequently happens,in 1940 very few merchants were as yet armed yet alone haveing super gunners. this another ridiculess flaw in the data programming of actions and values in this game, can anyone mod this out.?its time ubisoft attended to some of these things with another dowlload to fix.

If I'm not mistaken there are a good three or four mods that affect Torpedo damage.

Among them are Critical hits (note this does NOT mean that ALL HITS ARE CRITICAL), Improved G7a (or something to that affect), Seawolfs Torpedo Mod and there is another that goes along with the Super U-boat Mod.

As for the gun crews, depends on the Mods you are using (IRAI?). If you are playing stock and it's a problem them mod it out yourself if it bothers you that much.

Also, if this is a request for a Mod it should probably be in the Mod Workshop where they will actually see it.

Cheers

The problem with citing "realism" in this respect is the unrealistic behaviour of the player himself. There are many reports of merchant gunners opening fire on a u-boat. You're right, they didn't hit them very often. On the other hand the u-boat invariably dove and left that merchant alone. Would you, it they weren't as accurate as the game makes them? Or would you press the attack? It's unwise to speak of "realism" unless you want it to go both ways.

Have you looked at the IRAI mod by TheDarkWraith?
