Default Curious...how is SH 5?

Long time Sh 4 player.I prefer the PTO but enjoyed Op Monsun for ATO.Been a few months since SH 5 has been out.How is it with the patch and mods? Major CTD issues and flaws been worked out yet? Advise waiting some more to get the game? (hopefully DRM) will be gone. etc Thanks in advance.

I have never had a ctd since march . It is 100% stable if you have a system to run it . With mods its just as playable as SH3/4 .

I also enjoy it for what it [currently] is. With love and care from the modders, it will be a worthy successor to the previous games. The system requirements are steep, but if your machine can handle it, it is definitely worth adding to your collection.

With both patches and a nice selection of mods, SH5 is terrific fun and completely playable!

I still have some small, frustrating technical issues because I am using a CPU and graphics card that are just barely able to handle the game. This will change in the near future...Christmas? Oh yeah!

In the opinion of some players, this may be undoubtedly so, however bubblehead1980 advise waiting some, there is no mention of the possible transfer of cash!! Thus, you assumed, if your still desirous to hold strength of said post, I would suggest that you rephrase your original statement to recognise and incorprate this important distinction.

The modders are already hard at work. Been that way for about six months now, and we are beginning to see the fruits of the labor. I've seen this cycle happen enough times to know what is going on and when to be patient.

I am in full cognition to the work, efforts etc, and need not reminded. However I am sure some may be apt to batten on/upon, to express statements, even when presented in avuncular fashion. You accentuate on patience, and as I know when to bridle, will agree with you comprehensively on waiting it out.

Personally, i'm waiting for one or two things to happen before diving into SH5 again.

1.) Ubi patch's out the online all the time DRM requirement.

and/or

2.) First supermod is published.

A supermod from Ducimus would be nice.

Please? Pretty please? With a cherry on top?

Trigger Maru is magnificent. It displaced SCX* as my all-time favorite supermod.

*EDIT: And SXC made Typhoons driveable, so that's saying a lot.

Old timer with most of subsims there has been, and this is the best version if you like ww2 sub sims! The bitching and complaints about this game is NOT fair with todays mods!

Still it requires a quite hvy rig to run it, just upgraded to a 470gtx gpu and finally the game runs flawlessly.

Played for a week constantly and had 1 ctd, and no ingame calc. problems.

I say get it definately!
