Hi, I recently upgraded from a dual core 1,8 gig system to a I3 with 4 gigs memory. the Graphics card is an Invidia Ge Force GT 220.
My game play is nominally better than when I was on the dual core and I suspect my card is the culprit. What's everyone else running and what do you suggest for my new system. Things get really slow and choppy when zeroing in on a burning ship. Almost stops. I have to submerge my camera to get the frame rate back up. My mouse is also slow and sluggish. I intent to purchase something in the next month, 250.00 max. Appreciete your replies! Thank You 56 y/o kid. |

I have a GTX480 and couldn't be happier! If I were you I'd go with any 400 series nVidia card as the Fermi GPU is outstanding

I would say go for a Nvidia 460GTX 1GB, best bang for the buck out there currently.

I agree with the 460 recommendation.

Have one, outstanding card. Cool and quiet, powerdraw little above my old 8800. Running a full gaming rig from a (good) 520W PSU, no issues at all.
