Default Same ships in home port over and over?

Hello,

This may be a dumb question, but please indulge me.

Just finished my third patrol in 1939 from Kiel and leaving port each time, I see the same ships at the start of all three patrols. Same ships with the same flags at the same dock or moving in the same position and direction. Will that ever change over time? Different ships at Kiel over time?

Just asking because I'm thinking of using SH3 Commander's option to start my next patrol out at sea instead of starting dockside if nothing interesting changes at Kiel over the months.

Thanks!

never really paid attention to whats in port myself. But as the war progresses I think the ships change. the only reason I wouldn't start out at sea is then its harder to use the canal (assuming GWX)

They will change over time. The problem is that each ship has to be scripted in, so changing them every week of game time would mean creating hundreds of new listings. They will change though.

I personally never use 'Start at Sea'. I like to sail in and out of the harbors and look at the sights.

I believe that displays of that nature didn't appear until thirty five years later when the British task force sailed for the South Atlantic in 1982! I was in Portsmouth at the time and the sights were well worth seeing!

You might try this mod. It does give all the nurses different types of print blouses under their aprons.
