Insertion missions

First campaign with TMO1.9wTW/RSRD and am stymied by insertion missions. Get close to the beach where the marker is and never seem to get the "launch the rubber boat" message. Even ran up on the beach once to no avail? Anyone have this problem?

You have to be stationary and on the surface to release the boat it launches from the starboard side of the sub

OK, I'll try again, but I never seemed to have a problem doing this in the stock game?

Sometimes it helps to stop, go to periscope depth, and then surface.

I just had the same problem a couple of nights ago.

I was almost right up on the beach and hadn't received the launch message. I hit the ESC button so that I could save the game and when I clicked RESUME I suddenly had the launch pop-up.

Maybe give that a try?
