Default Volvo crash avoidance system

Not quite up to snuff yet.

All my cars have a sophisticated crash avoidence system.

Its called LTHWYG or Look The Hell Where Your Going.

I often think little safety features like this are counterproductive in the long run. Leading one to a false sense of confidence.

I agree, I wouldn't want to become lazy and overly dependant with something that may develop a fault.

The first time you might realise is when you hit someone or something.

Far better to rely on ones own avoidance skills.

My question on this thing is "What happens if it works too well?"

You're in traffic at 30 mph, you get a little to close to the car in front of you (which you shouldn't do, but still...) and suddenly your brakes lock up. And there's a car right behind you which doesn't have this 'feature'...
