Default Some Pictures

Unfortunately, I only got around to visiting the Submarine Force Museum, but I did manage to get some good photos while I was there. I really enjoyed meeting with everyone, although we obviously didn't have a whole lot of time to spend. I would have loved to visit the the other stops, but we weren't getting any sleep, our motel was a flophouse (my Aunt found a cockroach in her bag, the room smelled like paint, the AC sounded like a lawnmower...) to put it politely, and all three of us were getting wired and stressed out. I tried to get some photos of them in, but I guess Bas and Michael are pretty camera shy.

Here's my aunt Katie.

There's really only so many ways to photograph the Nautilus, but I did manage to stop by at the scenic overlook nearby early on Friday morning.

U-boat calculator thingy.

The Fleet Boat cutaway from the overhead is HUGE!

The Eagle was in the Thames River, but I couldn't get close to it.

Shooting the train.

I can't get over how cool that Japanese midget submarine looks.

The Plexiglas panels are an insurmountable PITA.

Spot the submarine.

The Fort Griswold Monument is being fully restored.

Aha! For some reason that's how I'd pictured him all this time.

A closer one of him with his 'minder' at the 2008 SS Meet in Texas.

I'm waring those silly shorts, with the ponytail.

Ivank is in the Memphis shirt.

Bas and Michael were almost always venturing other parts of the museum

EDIT: That being said, August/Dave has almost all of the pictures that we got from Fall River (battleship cove) and the USS Salem.
Later tonight there should be more pictures
