Default Question on Time Compression

I just upgraded to SH4 from SH3+GWX, and I am quite impressed. However, there is one thing that I am uncertain about.

If I recall correctly, high levels of time compresson in SH3 would greatly reduce the number of contacts you met, because it checked in real-time rather than based on the game clock. If I am correct, does this same issue exist in SH4? (I'm using TMO and RSRD, if that matters)

It drops me out of TC for contacts. Maybe I miss some, I dunno. I know that on my machine, I watch the progress of the sub, and if it gets choppy at all... something is nearby, and I drop out of TC to check.

I'm not aware of any issue in which TC reduces the number of contacts you may encounter. Like Taters says, upon contact with another vessel, the game automatically, and immediately, reverts to real time.
So, that would be no, man, ahem (clears throat) NoMan.
