Default model Vertexes

how do you get a model in game when it has no vertexes, it's a model i've been working on for fun and it's pretty good, it has open space for weapons, and is designed to be about 10meters off the waters surface, and be able to dive to a maximum depth of 3500ft.
(actually it belongs in space but thats not the point)

these are clues of what im trying to get in game.

heres another hint,

it's called dominion.

You can't have a model with no vertices, as it wouldn't have any geometric data and wouldn't exist. That model you show there has 42,359 vertices, so what is the problem you are having?

Hmmm, I've never seen that error, so I'm not sure what went wrong. Index would suggest some sort of animation or something like that - does the file name you are trying to import end in any numbers?

the daring is on hold due to lack of bottom hull area, so i thought i'd post this ship which i admit is quite different as it's meant for space not the ocean, but if you know what it's from you'll know why.

but it turns out that wont go in either, not sure why but ok, i just keep trying it and see what happens.

Nisgeis,

I have had that same error after exporting from Blender after editing an existing object and trying to keep the material/textures of the original. I don't have any idea why either, but the model I used didn't have any animations that I know of. All the animated parts were separate objects in the .dat file.
I don't know enough to be any help, except for being almost positive there were no animations involved with the error.

im not sure but it doesnt have a texture yet, so i cant say if that contributes to the error.

Maybe the obj file is not correct, face indices in OBJ Format starts with 1 instead of 0. If you can make the model.obj for download I can take a look.

Without seeing your files,
I think I know the problem.
The Verts and Normals are mixed in the obj file.

Open it with Notepad.
If you see something like this.......

vn -0.159476 0.832179 0.531079
v -0.000302 0.002111 0.000229
vn -0.731135 0.495238 0.469235
v -0.001705 0.001193 0.000218
vn -0.627004 0.779001 -0.004775
v -0.001090 0.001784 0.000224
vn -0.994166 0.107571 -0.007858
v -0.002031 0.000405 0.000213
vn 0.626833 -0.779146 0.003529
v 0.001298 -0.001867 0.000215
vn 0.994173 -0.107597 0.006625
v 0.002239 -0.000488 0.000226
vn 0.309144 -0.950995 -0.006160
v 0.001019 -0.002056 -0.013196
vn -0.453663 -0.891096 -0.011727

That's the problem.

Mesh Lab is a good program but it screws the obj file format for S3D.
That's how I found this problem.

I open the obj in RH and save and the problem is corrected.
