Help me . I don't hear any sound in SHIII GWX3.0

This is not my day , I can't hear a sound in the game .
How do I do to get the music etc working again ?

I think we need a few more details, please.

a) is your sound card working normally? ( e.g. can you play cds and get sound from other sources etc.)

b) Test your sound card by navigating to C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\SilentHunterIII\data\Sound and double-click on some of the sound files in there. (An alternative is to right-click on a sound file and use "open with" to select a media player.)

c) If all that is OK and you can hear the Sound FX and music (Sub-folders sound/music and sound/gramophone ) within SHIII through your sound card ,the next thing to check is the in-game settings.

Load SHIII and when you get to the selection screen, click on "Options" then "Sound Options". Make sure you have the rotary "switches" set to "0 Db" for a start, you can adjust later; then ensure that you have ticked (left-click) on the music check-box near top left of the Sound Options" screen - if you want to hear in-game music.

If you still can't hear anything, there may be a problem with the DMA settings etc, which are more difficult to deal with.

Please try the above and re-post if you continue to have problems.

have you been able to solve it? If not, then you will solve your O / S-related problems, before you try to install other things,if not, your problems will likely persist if you are unlucky.....

Hi guys

Thanks for all help .
earlier yesterday I rolled back my system , and when I came back to the point , I forgot to innstall the Nvidia driver I had earlier
It was the most obvius :

It was only a driver issue

But now I am back in business after uninstall/re-install the game .

I'm gonna sink em all
