Boarding Party Away!

Weird patrol.

I was steaming off the Carolines when I spied an IJN submarine cruising on the service, oblivious.



This was the very first submarine that I had ever seen not anchored or lashed to a wharf, so I immediately sent over two love darts to win her heart.
The first ran true, but too deep, and it passed harmlessly beneath her. The second, however, exploded aft, near her rudder and screws. All stop. "She's going down, sir!"

Only she wasn't going anywhere. She just sat there. Ignoring me.
So I surfaced, manned the deck gun and put one into her side. Nothing. No reaction. She hates me.

In reality, SH4 had declared her sunk. Only she wasn't. Not to me. Not yet.

So what's a proper skipper to do?
BOARD HER!!!

And that's just what I did.







She was mine! All MINE!
Unfortunately, nobody had a tow rope to bind us 'till death did us part, sooooooooo....



Bang, bang bang!
And good bye!



But I'll always remember our brief time together, she and I, and the clear blue sea.
