Default Maxine Waters blames Bush for her ethics problems

No... really

Quote:
Embattled Rep. Maxine Waters on Friday blamed the Bush administration for her ethics problems -- saying she had to intervene with the Treasury Department on behalf of minority-owned banks seeking federal bailout -- including one tied to her husband -- because the Treasury Department wouldn't schedule its own appointments.

Progressives are running out of ammo it seems.

We just need to move to the trial. That's what the judicial system is there for. She is accused of violating one or more regulations/laws.

Take her to trial. Present the evidence. If found guilty, impose the punishment, if found not guilty, leave her alone.

I wish the media and the public would stay out of this type of stuff. We have a procedure in place to handle this sort of thing. But it seems the media/public insist on having kangaroo "court of public opinion"

I could not give an airborne rodent's rectum about public opinion in criminal cases.

Bring her to trial and present the evidence. That's the American way.

I agree bring Waters and Rangle to trial, but to ask for the media and the public to stay away is like asking us to give up our republican form of government. These representatives work for the people, and the people have to know what is going on with them.

I agree but public opinion should never ever never be confused with "knowing what is going on"

Never ever

I know but our media has become lackies for the power, ISO speaking truth to power. So if it brings some smokey idea, however hazy, it is more than we get from our republican elected.
