OK I'm going hardcore here but I can't seem to use the Multiple UI with the Invasion of Poland without CTD. Should I bypass this 1st mission?

You can not enter fire on hardcore or what?

Looks like a little bug. I restarted and now I can access the crew tabs. It works now.
