Changing settings

Can I change the settings for gameplay in campaign mode (custom settings)? Currently I play on medium but found out I got infinite fuel. I want to limit my fuel.

Yes, any time you are in port, simply hit the esc key, go to options, and you will be able to change the gameplay/realism settings.
