event camera

Ok,i was wondering if there was a way to eliminate the ability to switch over to the spotted ships or airplanes when in event camera mode.For example:On long journeys and sailing pass other ports, i like to go into camera mode which takes me to that port and i will explore the town.Sometimes i like to veiw the outside of my u-boat.But, when a enemy ship is spotted i do not want the temptation to switch over to see what nation it's from.That takes out all the anticipation of the unknown, which i think brings more excitment to the sim.Does anyone know how to eliminate just the ability to switch to other ships and leave the rest?

I'm afraid you'll just have to work on your willpower as I really don't think what you're asking for is possible. I leave event camera on just to give me a more cinematic feel to my patrols and it only gives me info I'd already have during the event. I used to play with no camera's but since I came back to SH3 after a hardware failure I've adopted a more relaxed stance.

yeah, thats what i thought.I think i'll keep it real for now.I have a new problem w/ the saved game screen.After i click on the career tab it goes to black screen and i get a sh3.exe error.A new career doesn't do that.I'll be pissed if i can't fix it.

It only took one T1 eel to convince that boat not to float.
