Did you originally uninstall the game using the Windows Add/Remove Programs feature? Either way, I would try reinstalling it using that feature. If you Google your error code, you'll see that the error occurs on many different operating systems and for many different reasons. From the little research I've done, it doesn't look like it's going to be an easy fix. I've seen this error occur on a number of occasions when a program/game is uninstalled improperly. What operating system do you have? Because it seems to happen predominantly, on Windows 7 systems.

Hey mister, thanks to answer me already. Well, feedback is not good about add/remove programs, that doesn't change anything, i still have the same message. I've searched on google too today, but i'm a Frenchie Belgian, so i don't understand easily all. Ah yes, i'm on Win XP sp3.

It's perhaps stupid but, on steam, the game is not so expensive (stupid to buy it two times, but i really would go back in my u-boat^^). Do you think it could work if i don't use the CD and i directly try to install it from steam?...

Which version of the game do you have? I know this sounds bad, but do you by chance have SH4 Gold? If so, it already has UBM installed, and might give you that message.

If not, which version of the game do you have and which version of UBM are you trying to install.

I've bought them seperated....:/
I have tried to install UBM directly, so on the 1.0 version, and now i have installed the updates, so 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 & 1.4, it's still the same message....I'm disapointed^^

If the uninstall is not complete some left over entries in the registry that makes an reinstall fail. Try using the Revo Uninstaller freeware version. It helped me solve an install problem of the .net software.

My daughter is going to university in Louvain and id currently living in Zonhoven.
