Similar to take off from a aircraft carrier during WW2. Turn the bow into the wind and make 30kts.

Man, I have seen helicopters take more runway than some of those guys.

I used to love to make my little Piper Tomahawk hover (at altitude of course).

minimum controllable airspeed + winds aloft = fun afternoon

Way cooleo.
