Pilot pick up

I did RFM but can't find way to pick up pilot next to my boat. Many thanks in advance.

I cordially detest these assignments, to the point now where if I am given such an assignment I ignore it.

From what I can remember, you have to be pretty much close enough to the pilot that you're running him over, going dead slow. Target him with your binocs, then press the 'Rescue' button on your orders bar.

It's somewhere near the Photo button I think.

Sometimes it takes several clicks. You'll see a round life perserver icon light up, that's when you can rescue. Before that you'll usually get a sighted message of some sort.

I rescue pilots a lot, but seldom a mission, just pilots that get shot down.
