Thanks, Admiral8Q! These are some great home movies and official films taken during the war. I watched several, and will watch the rest in time.

Very interesting footage and impressive. My father served on submarines throughout WWII (Guardfish, Seahorse, & Queenfish) and there is only one picture of him taken while on patrol during that time. When I asked him about the picture all he could remember was that it was given to him by a photographer and that it was illegal to take them or have them in your possession while serving on board the submarine. He thought the picture may have been taken when they were going home from Pearl Harbor to San Francisco right after the war was over. In my case I was a photographer during the late 60's during the Viet Nam war with a security clearance. Nobody wanted to get caught with any unuauthorized or official pictures taken from a "secret" area. I say this because it's interesting that the photographer is shown with several reels of 16mm film and a scrapbook of pictures taken with a 4x5 view camera that must have been made from official shots that he kept and/or copied. When I was in the service we were required to caption and file all of our official pictures. I'm not sure where they ended up. In this case it makes you wonder how he managed to do what he did without getting in trouble. On the other hand, it's great that he took such good care of the film and pictures and that he's documenting them now. I wonder how or where it can be accessed.
