Default Amount of enemy ships in SHV

Hey guys,

Just a quick question. I have seen mentioned that there are only about 8 types of enemy ships in the game. Is this true? Do they mean 8 classes of ships or 8 ships in general? I would expect there are all the battleships/cruisers etc on top of those 8 right?

After going through the realistic picture thread and the price of the game hitting a new low, and after spending eur3000 on a pc to play this game just before it was released, ive decided ill probably pick up a copy this week and get cracking on some mods.

seeing as that thread was still a preview, did most of those ships make it into the game?

All I know is I've sank more Liberty Cargo ships in the first year of the War than all the U-boats did throughout And every single one of them looked identical, wih the same grey colour scheme, meanwhile enemy planes fly in parallell lines overhead and NEVER deviate from their course.

i see.

Every time i manage to psyche myself up for this game a flaw pops up that just kills my enthusiasm. Was going to reinstall gwx 3.0 for my fix and thought id go with SHV after being convinced by the picture thread but it seems it still isnt worth the eur20 in depth.

Yeah its worth it, even in its unfinnished state its still more fun than yet another lousy FPS featuring space marines in over size armour suits.
