SH3 came with StarForce, SH4 with SecureRom. Newest releases of both are clean.

Welcome to Subsim, and may your SHIII adventure be Starforce-free

(quite easy to arrange - copies of SHIII sell for $5-8 now, and the Starforce-laden editions have long been out of print/download availability. Actually if you bought SHIII any time after early 2006, you are quite probably Starforce-free already)

SH3 brand new, patched to 1.4b, SF free and no disc required in tray to play can be had for as little as £2.49 here in the UK.
