Default Which Battles are a must see.

Currently patrolling off the Solomon Islands (obviously for secrecy cant say where ) awaiting the up coming Battle of the Coral Sea. I really want to witness one of these in game.

Are there any other "must sees" and if so whereabouts.

Using TMO + RSRD

Try getting the "West Point Atlas for the PTO" at your local book store. IF RSRD is accurate (I've yet to start hunting with it) you should be able to pick up every movement.

I ran the vanilla 1.4 and some of the traffic movement was somewhat accurate, aside that after you sank, go back for the next patrol it there it is again.

This website is awesome for following along in time with the major sea battles. I have yet to find a battle not scripted accurately from this info.

Great site indeed. I've been playing the HPS Guadalcanal game recently and went onto the site pwer your reccomedation to watch the Savo Island battle anim, very well done. It's quite funny/tragic to listen to the radio broadcast on the site with the animation as it paints the battle as a victory for the Americans when in reality it was a total disaster. Propaganda & positive spin at it's very best.

I had a chance to meet up with the task force on it's way to to the battle of midway. I was still in the USS Perch at that time with 87% damge and had to head back to Pearl otherwise... who knows.

If you ever do the Solomons campaign again, do the battle of Santa Cruz, one of the largest in the game.

Another fun one is the battle of Leyte attacking the Center Force. Do it the 24th before they come through the Strait. Head more west into the sea next to the San Bern Strait. You'll see mass US aircraft attack Kurita's Center Force and good chance to sink more ships as they take damage from US planes. Just have plenty of ram, with about 200 contacts with planes and ships you gotta have some memory or the game will crawl.
