Default Preparing for Patch

Hey all,

So just to make sure for the patch, must we un-install all patches?

What will be the consequences if we don't :s

Cheers,

Krauter

I don't think you can uninstall the patches, nor should you have to. As far as mods go, as far as I'm aware you'll need to un-install all mods, and then keep an eye out in the mods forum to see when the modders make their mods 1.2 compatible.

Ahh my bad, I meant un-install all mods. Thank you.

Sober, would it be wiser to uninstall the game completely and then install it again for the patch? Or is just un-installing all mods safe too?

I just renamed my main modded SH5 installation;
Then did a clean reinstall of SH5.
Haven't run it yet so it's unpatched.
After the patch is released I will download the patch file from their website and do manual patching instead of letting the autopatcher handle it.

I can't imagine you'll stick to that one for long! Too much mod goodness coming our way. Besides the heading/ rudder control post 1.2 in the Russian version is already not as good as that found in the Multiple UI mod without even mentioning all the other goodies in there. Knowing The DarkWraith's release rate he'll have a new 1.2 version of the mod available about 10 minutes after 1.2 is released!
