I used to watch that series back in the 60's when I was a schoolboy....it was right up there on my not to be missed programmes along with Dr Who,Lost in Space and Thunderbirds.I haven't seen it since then.I can remember Grumpy Admiral Nelson, and David Hedison was in it;then there a guy called Kolauski (?)who was always in some kind of trouble....and they had a little mini sub as well. The storylines were pretty weird I seem to recall....once they got swallowed by a whale....

Hahaaaaaa!!!....yeah I used to love that show when I was a kid. That and the original Star Trek were particular favourites.

I remember the whale episode... might have been called "jonah and the whale", although that could just be my vague memory/imagination....hehehe.

Kowalski was the name of the seaman that was always getting into trouble....

The mini-sub was actually a flying sub...

And of course there was the feature length movie, too.

I think your'e right Jack about the mini sub being able to fly.....David Hedison was also in The Enemy Below sub film with Robert Mitchum.I can also remember an officer called Chip who had short blond hair....and there was always strange things happening in the ventilation ducts.....usually Kowalski was sent to investigate and he would get trapped by some alien creature which had been hiding out on board...

Yeah...now that you mention it Elektranaut, I remember Chip. Hedison was Captain of the ship, Commander Crane. Chip Morton was the XO I think.
