Haven't seen it yet, but the scene in the trailer with the wooden oar-powered Higgins LCPs (including drop ramps) had me laughing.

Yeah, cuz when I get in the theater and I'm watching Russell Crowe ride around all suited up like a scruffy medieval knight making fools and mincemeat of assorted evildoers using a wide variety of antiquated small weaponry, if he opens his mouth and the accent doesn't sound exactly like the real Robin Hood, I'm telling you, screw that, I'm outta there.

Only, you know, NOT.

A couple of those I didn't even know existed.

I do object to them giving a Miss to Shrek's Monsieur Hood, since everything in that movie is a full-on Hit IMO.

The only one I'm really familiar with is the Errol Flynn version, having seen that movie many times from early childhood on.

Still scratching my head over Kevin Costner. Makes about as much sense to me as Richard Gere as Lancelot in whatever that movie was. (First Knight? Ugh, the title alone sucks.) Some actors just don't work in period pieces, period.

Funny part is does it really matter what Crowe voice sounds like? I mean really, in Gladiator he did not sound Spanish to me yet know one said anything. It is nit picking....

Don't be silly, everyone knows that in Roman times people all spoke with English accents. Just watch I, Claudius if you don't believe me.

They left out Douglas Fairbanks Sr's silent version (I own a copy and it alternates between powerful and silly), and Jason Connery (Sean's son and Michael Praed's successor in the wonderful '80s Robin Of Sherwood).

Gluteus Maximus isn't he related to Sillius Soddus, and Biggus Dickus?
