Default SH3 reset to standard resolution..

hi,
for whatever reason, SH3 is reset back to its 1024x768 resolution, instead of the widescreen I had set it some time ago. I don't play it that often, I don't know what could have provoked this reset... I haven't removed any files from the SH3 directory (which would make any sense perhaps).
I reinstalled the SH3_XPSP2_Res_Fix_for_1.4b but it made no difference. Perhaps something obvious I am missing here...?

Try this Res Fix.

I have found it is a more reliable fix than the one you posted.

Have not seen this one before - what's the story with it? By more reliable, do you mean that it causes less hiccups and CTDs? Would be lovely, as I use the one from the OP and it can be quite the pain in the @$$ at times!

I have read quite a few reports of 'SH3_XPSP2_Res_Fix_for_1.4b' either not working properly, or resetting itself.

The link I have posted has never failed to work for me.

It consists of 2 files.
A dll and a cfg.
Just drop them both in your SH3 folder, edit the cfg with a text editor to set the resolution you want, and you're good to go.

No bat files required

Thanks, but it made no difference, and what's the difference between both fixes, the .cfg as well as the .dll are the same (according to their date and size)
I'll have to dig deeper I'm afraid, but thanks.
