It looks like it died the death a long time ago. If you have a look at the last forum post and Captain of the month, both were in 2007

Yeah, I saw that but thought there might be a chance that the original owner might have renewed his/her interest. He's got a link to this site.

The virtual fleets are becoming scarce, I think most those links from this site are dead.

If you really are interested in who owns this, or any other site, use http://www.alexa.com/

Wolves At War is still going strong. They are however rather anti-SH5, being stuck in the bugs + DRM stage of internet rage and not being able to see past that.

That's about the best summation I have seen. Well said, Kylania.

As naive as this may seem, I am STILL optimistic that Ubi could reverse a lot of the negativity concerning this implementation by putting something beneficial into this online-connect requirement. Sophisticated AI is one possibility, in my opinion.

Imagine escorts, all sorts of surface vehicles for that matter, spawned with variable capabilities and AI instruction originating outside of your own PC-resident game code. Never knowing exactly what you would be up against when scoping out a convoy, and no longer having the capability to globally control the enemy's abilities with mods. That would go a long way toward putting the thrill (terror?) factor into SH5 that was never achieved with prior releases.

Let's not burn the witches. Why not instead encourage them to create something really spectacular?

Hmmm, 6 year contract? Too bad the owner seems to have lost interest, I'm looking for something offline using SH5. Maybe meeting up online once a week or so.
