Dear Neal,
I get the feeling you're a man who call's a spade...a spade. So i'll get straight to the point. I have no idea how subsim is governed but, given the energy required to maintain the forum to its current high standard, I can appreciate the need for moderation. And, being human, some moderators can sometimes be more zelous than others. The first thread got locked for what I believe was an unjustifiable interpretation of your editorial policy. Feeling that the OP had been harshly judged, I created a thread questioning the lock. Now I can appreciate that Anarchy is not for sale, but I did think Democracy was very much on the agenda. Why was my thread locked? How does my thread contravene Subsim's editorial policy? Or are community members not allowed to discuss what some obviously percieved to be an act of over-zelous moderation? Surely community feedback can only benefit Subsim, even if that feedback is on the very governance of subsim itself? After all, it is the community, people from all walks and cultures, that make Subsim what is is today? Yours sincearly, UG PS: Yeah I know, enough already... ![]() |

Take it up in PM.
The Management EDIT: You have your answer from the man himself. It has been the answer from they day this site was established: No piracy. No when. No how. This is a privately-run forum. There are two alternatives: (1) The rules or (2) the door. |
