Default Protection Key SH3

Hi, I made a Topic yesterday about SH3, I got a problem when I try to play SH3.

For the first, I've reinstalled 4 times now, repaired 4 times and renamed my folders and installed again. Now I got two problems, the first is that my AntiVirus program detects a Trojan horse in my SIMDATA.DLL file. Second, if I put "Ignore" on this Trojan horse message then I need a Protection Key to my SH3 to launch the game. I mean wtf, I didn't get any "key" with my game when I ordered it for about 1,5 weeks ago! What kind of key is it? And how can I solve my SIMDATA.DLL problem?

Oh I forgot to tell ya that if I choose to Remove the virus, then after I tried to remove it it says that I don't have SIMDATA.DLL.

Vert complicated and annyoing, anyone knows what to do?

There was a generic user key available from UBI somewhere, make a search in this forum. My DVD (Not the case, but the own DVD) came with a key code printed on it, but IIRC it was only for multiplayer.

Their is an archive mentioned in this thread:

http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=160118

That includes a SIMDATA.DLL that may work.

Well in this case both Ubi and Subsim promote a crack, the Subsim thread is linked above and there's also one in the Ubi forums, so why can't us users mention it in the same context?

We don't want the forums turning into a "crack" den, if ya know what I mean.

Keep it clean, yo.

Most likely, it's your AntiVirus program that is asking for a key. Norton (Symantec?) and others sometimes install with a passcode so that if a virus tries to disable it, it will ask for the passcode first.

If you use Norton or Mcaafe, you are probably better off uninstalling those, rebooting, then installing something sane like AVG or Microsoft Security Essentials. Although, uninstalling Norton and Mcaafe are usually pretty complicated. You may be better off by reinstalling Windows from the factory disc.
